Sunday Mornings

Arts and Soul
We are created beings fashioned by a creative God, and the Art and Soul group imagines ways to offer our creativeness in our worship to God. This intergenerational group creates art (visual, dramatic, movement, etc.) to incorporate into our worship services. We plan seasonally, so we will begin in September planning for Advent.

Serendipity
In Serendipity class we seek to enhance our understanding of Christianity through discussion of a wide range of faith-related texts, from the Bible itself to theology, philosophy, essays and fiction. Participants are encouraged to say whatever is on their mind; our hope and experience is that our shared readings and candid responses will spark fresh insights that help us walk with God.

Weekday Bible Study - Begins Sept. 21
Studying Scripture: Learning to Interpret and Understand the Bible using the Book of First Corinthians
The Apostle Paul’s writings to the church at Corinth addressed conflicts, misunderstandings, and divisions in the life of that congregation. Some of the Corinthians’ problems were a lot like ours. But because they lived in a very different time, some were quite unlike ours. Pastor James Sledge leads a nine-week study of this short, New Testament book where you can acquire basic tools and insights for understanding and applying the Bible in everyday life. Download curriculum here.
Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m. or 7:30 p.m. in the Conference Room. (Evening class is a repeat of morning class.)
