Our Christian Education program offers Sunday School for ages two through high school. We hope your children will join us to experience the love and joy that is present!
Infants to Age 2: Loving care is provided by professional and volunteer caregivers, from 8:45 - 11:45 a.m. in Room 11, Basement level. Parents may drop off and pick up children throughout this time.
2 and 3 Years Old: Children are nurtured in Room 206 from 9:00-10:15 a.m.; 10:15-close of worship. Children may attend for the first half or preferably both. Each hour will include Bible story and play time. The first hour includes snack and the second hour a craft. Each session is conducted by an adult teacher, an adult childcare professional and at least one parent volunteer.
4’s, 5’s and Kindergartners: This group gathers in Room 201 for Sunday School from 9-10 a.m. They love to learn about God and God’s beautiful world through stories, music, games, and crafts.
Godly Play I: 4's - Kindergartners; and Godly Play II: Grades 1& 2: Godly Play is an alternative worship service which affirms the natural spirituality of children and promotes theological reflection through story and play. Children are led to Godly Play after the Word with Children during the service. Godly Play I meets in Room 204; Godly Play II in Room 59, CE classrooms, basement level. Please pick up your children in their class rooms at 11:30, after worship.
Grades 1- 5: These children take the “Jerusalem Journey.” Using the Workshop Rotation Model, they children learn the biblical story through a multi-sensory approach that honors the variety of ways in which we learn and process information. Children gather in Room 55 B from 9:00-10:00 AM. Find us in the CE classroom wing, basement level. Please pick up your children at 10:00.
Middle School (6-8 grades): Meet in Room 301 at 9:00 a.m. Our focus this year is on relationships – with God, family, friends and the world. Books, documentaries, movies and field trips help guide our discussions. We’ll take on some cool mission projects throughout the year, too!
Grades 9-12: 9th to 12th Graders: Meet in Room 308 at 9:00 a.m. Join in a discussion about what your favorite music has to do with God? Watch movies that no one can believe we show in church. Play Bible Jeopardy and win fabulous prizes! We'll explore the gospel and the world in some fairly nontraditional ways.
