A native Cajun, Julie came to the DC Metro Area in 1989 and now calls Arlington home. Julie built a career in non-profit communications and fundraising while simultaneously building career experience in pastoral music. She has served in the capacities of cantor, VBS director, section leader and soloist for Catholic, Episcopal and Presbyterian churches across the Metro area, and has sung with large symphonic ensembles across the region. Julie currently is a member of Choralis Board of Directors and has served on the boards of Cantate Chamber Singers, Urban Artists Coalition, Calvary Women’s Shelter, University of Louisiana Alumni Association and SNAP (Special Needs Advocate for Parents). She earned both Bachelor and Masters Degrees in literature from the University of Louisiana – Lafayette. In 2005, she left a 15-year career in marketing and communications to become a full-time pastoral musician and jewelry designer/metalsmith.
