AdultsCE Policies/Forms There is no Sunday School during the summer months. Please join us when Sunday School resumes on September 12, 2010 at 9:00 a.m.Sunday Mornings at 9:00Faith-full Parents: Home is a child’s first church. How do we encourage faith at home when we have doubts? Faith-Full Parents explores ways to model, nurture and learn about faith from family. The group is open to adults who care for children of all ages, focusing on communicating spirituality, not child rearing. Parents of Teens: Ever feel you’re at wit’s end? Join us as we help each other stay sane, stay strong, and stay one step ahead of our teenagers! Grab a cup of coffee after worship and come downstairs to Room 17. We won’t have all the answers, but we sure come up with great ideas! Centering Prayer: We begin our time together by sharing and reading, followed by a 20-minute period of centering ourselves in prayer, after which we discuss the experience to the degree needed. This simple approach to prayer can open new vistas of spiritual growth. All ages are welcome! Seekers: Our theme this year is “Thin Places.” We’ll examine the thin places between the physical and the spiritual in the lives of historic figures and present day mystics, as well as our own. Serendipity: This group explores a variety of ideas throughout the year. We discuss many topics and review books like the Commentary of Martin Luther and The Scandalous Gospel of Jesus by Peter Gomes. Midweek MeetingsSmall Group Ministry: Would you like to form meaningful relationships with others as you grow in your understanding of how God relates to you? Using the resource Exploring the Way: An Introduction to the Spiritual Journey, Kerry Grannis and Diane Hendricks facilitate this group on Sundays 3:00-4:30 p.m. and Wednesdays 7:00-8:30 p.m. |
