Worship Services

Sunday Schedule

Our church offers one worship service at 10:15 each Sunday morning, with communion celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.

Our Sunday schedule is:

9:00-10:00 Sunday School and Christian Education for all ages
10:15-11:15 Worship Service
11:15 Coffee Hour in Fellowship Hall

Childcare during the service is available in the nursery downstairs for infants to age two. Childcare also is available for children ages two through five during that time.

Children in Worship

We welcome children of all ages in our worship services. Worship activities bags for children are available from an usher at sanctuary entrances. These bags have books, paper, stickers and other quiet activities for children to use during the service.

New > Acolytes ... Children Leading God's People in Worship

All youth in 3rd grade and older are invited to join our acolyte team. Serving as an acolyte is a vital way to serve God and the church. Responsibilities include assisting the worship leaders during the Sunday morning worship services and at the special services throughout the year. Acolytes generally serve during one service a month, depending on the size of the team in a given year. Click on the ---> Acolytes Form and send your completed form to Rev. Diane Walton Hendricks. Questions? Please contact Diane Walton Hendricks dhendricks@fallschurchpresby.org.

Infants to 2-year olds: Nursery care is available 8:30 to 11:45 a.m. in room 11 on the lower level of the building. Parents may drop off and pick up children throughout this time.

2- and 3-year olds: Sunday School is offered in Room 206 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Child care and additional Christian learning opportunities are provided in Room 206 from 8:30 to 11:45 a.m., coinciding with Sunday School and worship service.

4- and 5-year olds: Sunday School is offered from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in Room 201. An alternative worship service called Godly Play is offered in Room 204. Children are led to Godly Play after the Teaching Our Children Moment in our 10:15 a.m. service.

Sacrament of the Lord's Supper

In the Presbyterian Church we observe two sacraments; the Lord’s Supper and Baptism. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of the month: this is a day when members of the congregation and friends can come and count on being fed at the table.

Sacrament of Baptism

And Jesus came and said to them, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.' Matthew 28:18-19

Baptism was given to us through the example and direction of our Savior Jesus Christ. To honor the sacrament of Baptism, we observe “Baptism Sundays” on the second Sunday of each month at our 10:15 a.m. service. This emphasis allows us to be more intentional in centering the liturgy and focus of the service on Baptism.

Of course, as with all things in the church of Jesus Christ, grace abounds. If someone has a particular date on which they desire a Baptism to occur that does not fall on the second Sunday, please contact the pastors for the suggested date, as that date may not be available. Rest assured that Baptism is a joyful act of God and the church, and we can expand our observance of it to other times as the need arises. But remember to bring your umbrellas on the second Sunday of the month, because it’s going to be wet!
