The Mission and Social Concerns (M&SC) committee is putting mission into action. We focus on issues of hunger, homelessness, child exploitation, and the environment. We are not trying to save the world, but trying to enrich our souls through the transforming power of God’s love, to share this transformation with our community through a ministry of mission, and to pursue mission projects that excite and touch our lives in meaningful ways and allow us to put our faith in action. We will not fear the impossible in our mission work, but be committed to God’s grace, wherever it takes us.

Welcome Table in now well underway!  The Welcome Table, where low income folks in our community have been served a delicious, home-cooked meal in a welcoming atmosphere complete with live music, has grown to accommodate more than 60 guests per month over the summer months. More >>

The community around our church is filled with people who are hungry and in need of assistance with all sorts of things, from being unable to afford new eyeglasses, to being faced between the decision to get medication or get minutes on a cell phone to receive calls about employment. More>>

National & International Missions

We collect groceries for The Knox Presbyterian Food Pantry which serves many families throughout the Falls Church and Arlington, Virginia area.   Many congregational members bring food to church with them on Sundays and drop their bags off in the large bin at the "Activities Center." More >>
