Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministry

Falls Church Presbyterian Church is hiring a full-time Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministry (DCYFM) to lead our children, youth, and families as they grow in Christian faith. We’re looking for a Director to help us grow into our vision: a program centered on faithfulness that prioritizes high quality experiences in faith development and mission, undertaken among friends. We want to build a peaceful, safe community to openly and honestly explore, question, and grow in faith—not just another activity on a long list of “to do's” for often overscheduled children, teens, and families.The DCYFM will be responsible for:

  • Administering the children, youth, and family ministry, including recruiting and supervising volunteer ministry leaders to carry out the mission of the church;
  • Building relationships with children, youth, and families and facilitating similar relationships with other adult mentors; and
  • Nurturing Christian faith and discipleship in young people of the congregation by fostering Christian community, teaching from the Bible, and creating opportunities for them to practice the Christian life together.
